Mille Miglia VIP Tour Experience 2023

12-18 June 2023

Mille Miglia 2023 Tour

Join us in June 2023 for the Mille Miglia Tour, a magical 6-night hosted tour to the most famous classic road race in the world. Get up close to the cars and drivers as they depart Brescia on their 4-day Italian motoring adventure. Providing the perfect vantage points from which to take in the sights and sounds of the event, you and your guests will enjoy a superb escorted VIP tour and hospitality in exclusive locations. We have lined up a great collection of boutique hotels, authentic restaurants and private guided tours of the Ferrari Museum in Maranello, Lamborghini Factory & Museum and a private Maserati collection in Modena.

The opening night of the tour kicks off in style with a trip aboard the icon of classic motor yachts, the Riva Aquarama. Used by the rich and famous of the sixties, they are now valued at a cool half a million pounds each. During the tour you will also have the opportunity to fulfil that childhood dream of driving a Ferrari through the streets of Maranello, with our inclusive 'Test Drive' experience! For those less excited by the classic cars there will be plenty of time for shopping or sightseeing in Modena, Parma and Brescia.

The Mille Miglia (Italian for Thousand Miles) was an open-road endurance race which took place in Italy twenty-four times from 1927 to 1957 and is one of the greatest classic car 'race' events in the world. Since it's reintroduction back in 1977 it has been a four-day regularity race around Italy, starting and finishing in Brescia, taking in Rome and other historical Italian cities.

Like the older Targa Florio and later the Carrera Panamericana, the Mille Miglia made Gran Turismo (Grand Touring) sports cars like Alfa Romeo, BMW, Ferrari, Maserati, Mercedes Benz and Porsche famous. The race brought out an estimated five million spectators per year from 1953 until 1957 and was also a round of the World Sports Car Championship.

If you would like to know more about the history of the Mille Miglia, this official film covers the original road races from 1927-1957

....And to bring things up to date, here's the official review of the 2021 Mille Miglia.

Day Two
After a hearty breakfast and a relaxing morning at your leisure we will transfer you to Brescia town centre for the 'sealing ceremony' where you'll have time to relax, grab a cappuccino and catch your first glimpse of the classic cars heading through the town centre. Take in the sights and sounds of Brescia and wander amongst the cars as they park up after the official ceremonies that bring to a close the ‘Scrutineering’ that happens in the central square. As the cars return to their pre-race overnight parking, we'll get together for an evening at a traditional restaurant in Brescia centre.

Day Three
Wednesday. After breakfast, we set off to Fiera near the race start to soak up the atmosphere of the pre-race build up in the collecting area. As the race start time approaches, we will take our seats at a popular first floor restaurant in Brescia town centre. We have secured a prime viewing location and will enjoy an early-afternoon lunch just a few metres away from the route as the 400+ classic cars pass by on their first leg of the race. In the early evening we depart for dinner at our hotel.

Day Four
Thursday. As the Mille Miglia cars head south to Rome, we check out of our lakeside hotel this morning and make our way to Sant'Agata Bolognese, near Bologna. Famous as the home of Lamborghini, we have a private tour of the Lamborghini factory and museum, followed by free time for lunch and sightseeing in Enzo Ferrari’s home town, Modena. After lunch it's a short journey to the world's finest private Maserati collection, in a unique location!
